PREDICTING continued growth in the RTD market, Edinburgh Gin has introduced two ready mixed cans.
Edinburgh Gin with premium tonic water is 6% ABV and Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur mixed with ginger ale has a strength of 5% ABV.
Managing director, Neil Boyd said: “This is a significant extension to the range and is in response to consumer demand for premium RTDs – a category that grew by 10% last year.
“The new ready-to-serve cans are designed to provide a refreshing and convenient way for consumers to enjoy Edinburgh Gin either at home or in out-of-home settings, including picnics, festivals, barbecues and more.
“With the popularity of our Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur it seemed the ideal flavour to choose for our first gin liqueur RTD alongside our classic G&T.
“Its flavour profile means it will appeal to both fans of Edinburgh Gin and those new to the brand and the range.”
Boyd added that the Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur is the UK’s second biggest premium gin product by value.
“A great deal of time and care has been taken to ensure the serve quality matched consumer expectations and delivered a good drinking experience,” he said.
“We were keen to offer a premium ready-to-serve range.”
Both varieties are packed in 250ml slimline cans.
