Bottlegreen to launch two new flavours this summer


“Soft drink consumers are increasingly seeking innovative flavour combinations made with the highest quality ingredients,” says Dave McNulty, Managing Director, SHS Drinks, whose brand portfolio includes Bottlegreen, the No.1 premium glass cordial in Scotland and with a range of sparkling pressés currently in double-digit volume growth in Scotland. 

“Our mission at Bottlegreen is to produce drinks using the finest natural fruits, roots and botanicals which are inspired by global flavour trends and deliver against the movement towards healthier alternatives, but without compromising on taste.

“Consumers have always enjoyed an extensive range of flavours from Bottlegreen – including favourites such as Hand-Picked Elderflower and Pomegranate & Elderflower – and the brand is renowned for its high-quality, great-tasting variants.

“To meet growing demand for exciting and challenging tastes, we’re launching two new delicious flavours,” states McNulty: “Bottlegreen Rhubarb with a hint of Ginger infuses the delicate tartness of rhubarb with the subtle warmth of ginger to capture the unmistakeable taste of British summer.”

“Bottlegreen Blood Orange with a hint of Bergamot blends zesty blood orange with the lightly scented floral notes of bergamot to create a refreshingly subtle citrus infusion inspired by Earl Grey.”

Both flavours are available as 750ml sparkling pressés to be enjoyed perfectly on their own in a tall glass of ice, and as 500ml cordial variants for mixing.  All four new SKUs are available from May onwards.

In response to the introduction of the soft drinks levy, SHS Drinks has worked hard to refine recipes, ensuring consistency, quality and taste across its entire range.  As a result, all Bottlegreen pressés, cordials and sparkling infusions are levy exempt.

“We are totally committed to maintaining the integrity of the Bottlegreen brand.  Rigorous consumer testing has ensured that our new 2018 flavours, along with the entire Bottlegreen portfolio, suffer no compromise on quality, taste or consistency in remaining within the levy parameters,” explains McNulty.

“We’re confident that, using naturally sourced ingredients, we have created improved recipes which taste as delicious as or even better than their predecessors.  Our intention is to always delight our consumers; we believe that our new formulations will do just that.”
