THE Scottish Grocers Federation, in partnership with TLT, has launched two new legal hotlines to provide members with advice on licensing and employment issues faced by retailers.
SGF members will receive a free initial consultation through the hotlines, with a discounted rate for additional follow-up legal services. Other free benefits to members include a licence health check, legal bulletins and access to TLT seminars.
TLT’s Stephen McGowan, partner and head of licensing (Scotland), said: “We are delighted to be on board with SGF to offer commercial and practical advice to their members.”

• The SGF is also launching a partnership with RBS Mentor, an advisory service, providing expert guidance on regulatory and compliance obligations.
SGF members will be able to take advantage of an introductory offer of a free two-month trial.
SGF chief executive Pete Cheema said: “A key aim for us in 2016 is to ramp up the expert advice and guidance services we can offer to our members.”
