TAYLORS of Harrogate is expanding its green tea line-up with the arrival of a new blend.

The firm says its new Green Tea & Delicate Pear blend, which is Fairtrade certified, has been crafted in partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens and uses Chinese Sencha, one of the world’s most prized varieties of green tea.

The new line launches first in Sainsbury’s.

The latest product in the Taylor’s green tea range is Fairtrade certified.

Drawing on what it sees as quintessentially English flavours, its latest blend is added to its existing line-up of  green teas, which includes Pure Sencha Green Tea; Grapefruit & Lime; Strawberry & Vanilla; and Sweet Mint. The green tea range was launched last year.

The firm says it comes as consumer interest in green tea grows. Quoting IRI figures is says green tea is currently worth £37.6m with overall value sales up 19.5% year on year.
