The Happy Egg Co is sponsoring ITV’s Good Morning Britain local weather as part of a six-month deal.
The sponsorship, which the company says aims to capitalise on the trend for eggs at breakfast, will see three 10-second idents airing daily between now and July.
It is expected to be seen by 37 million families, the brand’s core audience, and signals the first burst of a wider marketing strategy focused on recruiting own label free-range egg consumers to the brand by driving differentiation for the happy egg co.
The TV spots, produced by the Clinton Partnership, will showcase real farms to demonstrate how the Happy Egg Co’s ‘gold standards’ in hen welfare differ from other free-range standards.
Rob Newell, marketing director at the Happy Egg Co, commented: “The ITV Good Morning Britain local weather sponsorship, kicks off an exciting year for the Happy Egg Co. It’s part of a wider integrated campaign that will see several marketing bursts throughout the year, designed to ride on the positive momentum for eggs in terms of animal welfare, health benefits and consumer desire for provenance and transparency – whilst showing consumers why the brand is worth paying a little more for.”
The Happy Egg C. is owned by parent company, Noble Foods, the largest producer of free-range eggs in the UK, in a market worth £800m.
