Decorated forklift trucks and a giant advent calendar made out of delivery vehicles feature in a festive advertising campaign which Cadbury says is its biggest ever at Christmas.
Mondelez International marketing manager Claire Low said: “We wanted to capture the huge anticipation felt by consumers during the Christmas Countdown.
“Cadbury has a well-loved place in family homes during the festive period, and has been bringing joy to the countdown with its advent calendars for over 50 years.
“Inspired by this, we have created the ultimate advent calendar to deliver joy this Christmas.”
Mondelez says the campaign is worth £10m and, as well as the TV ad, will include social media, PR, digital, radio and in-store elements.
• Mars has launched a TV ad for Celebrations as part of a £1.4m festive spend on the brand.
The 30-second film shows four tree decorations – Father Christmas, an Angel, a Snowman and a Nutcracker soldier – dangling above a tub of Celebrations in an attempt to snatch their favourite.
Senior brand manager Nigel Lorimer said: “Ever since we first brought together a selection of the nation’s best-loved chocolate brands almost 20 years ago, Celebrations has grown to become a seasonal favourite with families across the country.
“We know that people love our chocolates, so it’s great to be able to bring this to life, but with a bit of special Christmas magic.”
