MARS is taking people to the pictures for a fourth year in a row with its Sweet Sundays on-pack promotion.

It says the promotion increased value sales in the bitesize market last year by 20%.

The competition features on Maltesers, Revels, M&Ms, Galaxy Minstrels, Galaxy Counters and Milky Way Magic Stars packs.

It allows consumers to receive free cinema tickets with the purchase of a combination of sharing pouches, standard pouches and through a text to win competition on singles packs

Trade communications manager Bep Dhaliwal said: “There’s no doubt about it, visiting the cinema has never failed to be a hit with family and friends looking to spend quality time together outside of the home.

“The return of Sweet Sundays is a great way to continue to drive purchases in-store during the summer and autumn.”

Mars is supporting the campaign with a £1.1m media spend, including TV advertising.

The promotion will run until 14 October and the vouchers will be valid until 1 November.
