Seasonal sales uplift predicted by capital gin

CRAFT products and small-batch production are becoming important in many parts of the drinks industry. Edinburgh-based Spencerfield Spirit Company says premium craft gins helped the gin category grow by 45% last year.
It sees summer as a key sales period for its Edinburgh Gin Liqueurs range.
Managing director Alex Nicol said: “There is definitely an uplift in gin sales during the summer months.
“Gin is such a versatile spirit and the range that we produce at Edinburgh Gin ensures that we cater for every taste.
“Our Raspberry Gin Liqueur, made with raspberries from Perthshire, is perfectly paired with Cava or Prosecco and our Elderflower Liqueur is best enjoyed with tonic, soda or lemonade.”
Edinburgh Gin has a partnership with Heriot-Watt University for research into Scottish ingredients.
