Chefs cook up new lines for the freezer

BIRDS Eye has added lightly dusted cod fillets and two new pasta dishes to its range.

Developed by its in-house chefs, the new cod fillets have what Birds Eye calls its lightest ever crunchy crumb and an infusion of fresh herbs and seasonings.


They are available in three varieties – Lemon and Black Pepper, Sea Salt and Rosemary, and Garlic and Herb.

The new Garlic and Herb Penne and Pesto Vegetable Penne pasta dishes are part of the Steamfresh range introduced in 2014.

Birds Eye UK marketing director Steve Chantry said: “We pride ourselves on listening to consumers.

“Our Lightly Dusted Cod Fillets and Steamfresh pasta additions have been developed as a direct result of feedback from our consumers.”
