BESTWAY and Batleys’ own-label cider Country Choice has added two new fruit-based ciders to its off-trade range.
The two new lines – Country Choice Dark Fruit, in cans, and Country Choice Strawberry and Lime, in bottles – is a company response to increasing demand for fruit ciders in the UK.
The group reckons it’s the first wholesaler to take the step but is confident the new lines will do well.
Roopinder Singh Toor, licensed controller for Bestway Wholesale said he sees no risk in being the first own-label line.
“The category is already there and is performing extremely well with all major manufacturers posting impressive increases year on year. This demonstrates that there is a continuing thirst for fruit-based ciders among consumers,” he said.
