Motherwell Shopping Centre is offering to carry customers’ shopping to their cars.
It claims to be the first in the country to launch a free fetch and carry service, that “puts the fun back into shopping and takes the strain for its customers”.
Scotland’s planning minister, Derek Mackay, whose portfolio includes town centres, said: “I think this is a really good idea, and one that will benefit shoppers and traders alike.”
Centre manager, Geraldine El Masrour, said: “We are always looking for ways to make a visit to Motherwell Shopping Centre more enjoyable for our customers and to help our traders offer an even better service.”
