CONFECTIONERY wholesaler, Hancocks, has expanded its novelty and themed confectionery range for retailers ahead of the summer period.
Last year’s Mallow Sandwich is back, joined by a Mallow Pizza and a Mallow Kebab. Other innovations include a new Football Lolly (in time for the World Cup) and a Giant Gummy Bear on a Stick, plus a value range of Nougat Bars.
Jonathan Summerley, Hancocks purchasing director, explained: “Whether families are just out for the day or on holiday, they are much more inclined to purchase a fun treat for the kids and with school holidays looming fast, summer-loving children are quick to spend their pocket money on something sweet to keep them entertained.
“New and fresh ideas will add interest to your range whilst some of our old favourites are tremendous money-spinners that can help to get more cash in your till during the warmer months.”
Hancocks has a new display fixture for its Giant Cables sweets. The company claims the unit, which costs £399.99 plus VAT, will swiftly pay back the initial cost.
And the firm’s Choc Nibbles, previously only available in 3kg jars, are now packaged in 200g sharing bags. The bagged versions of the two most popular varieties – Choc Nibbles Original and Choc Nibbles Toffee – have an RRP of £1.
