Butterkist’s new bags highlight calorie count


TOP-selling popcorn brand Butterkist’s bags have a new look.

Manufacturer, Tangerine Confectionery, says the makeover is “optimised pack design”.
It argues the new packs will help it build on existing sales growth by improving consumer perception of the products – by having clear calorie messages on the front of all the packs in the range and by introducing different coloured banners to make it easier for shoppers to distinguish between flavours.
The backs of the new packs feature information on other products in the Butterkist range.
Helena Blincow, Butterkist brand manager, said: “We believe the changes to the Butterkist pack design reflect and meet the needs of the current popcorn market.
“We aim to cater both for consumers looking for a treat and those who are health conscious and looking for an alternative snack to crisps.”
The new packs are now available now across the full Butterkist range.
