Loyd’s packs prove transparently saucy

THE Loyd Grossman range has two new ready-made sauces, said to help home cooks prepare stress-free lasagne. Tomato Sauce For Lasagne and White Sauce for Lasagne come in 380g pouches – enough to serve a family of three or four.

According to IRI, lasagne is the third most popular flavour of cooking sauce, worth £34m last year. Premier Foods, which markets Loyd Grossman products, says its new sauces are produced in a modern pack that features images of the sauce’s main ingredients as well a see-through window to display the pouch’s contents.
Jon Burton, marketing director for cooking sauces at Premier Foods, said: “With 94% of UK households buying cooking sauces in a year, according to Kantar WorldPanel, it is imperative that we innovate with new and exciting flavours. We also need to work hard with our retail partners to ensure the fixture is easier to navigate.
“We recently revamped our Sharwood’s packaging and now want to replicate this success across our Loyd Grossman range to further ease the congested nature of the category,”
