MISS Scotland, Jamey Bowers, raised a glass to mark the first delivery of Homecoming Scotland 2014 beer – a commemorative craft beer produced in Scotland by Inveralmond Brewery.
The beer was developed by the Perth-based firm’s head brewer Ken Duncan and it’s available in 330ml bottles and on draught.
The independent craft brewer employs 18 people, its turnover hit £1.5m last year and it expects to grow in 2014.
Late last year Inveralmond agreed a specialist off-trade sales alliance with the UK’s biggest independent wine company, PLB Group.
The alliance will see PLB’s beer division represent Inveralmond’s core range of beers in specialist off-trade outlets across the UK, and provide tactical sales management of grocery in England.
PLB will represent Ossian, Lia Fail, Thrappledouser, Blackfriar and Santa’s Swallie. Barney’s Beer of Edinburgh, which Inveralmond distributes, will also feature in PLB’s portfolio.
