NISA, the buying group, wholesaler and symbol store operation, has reported strong half-year results with sales up 6.1% year on year, at £770 million and volume, at 61 million cases, up 10% on the same period last year.
The firm said the growth could be attributed to several things including the strength of the Nisa symbol group and the fact that McColl’s Retail Group had become Nisa members – the final branches among the 320 McColl’s stores joining the group come into the system this month. Nisa also saw record volumes go through its central distribution services at three points through the year.
