SWA’s 20th event is set to be best yet
THE Scottish Wholesale Association’s Achievers Awards, taking place later this month, will be the biggest ever.
A record number of entries have been received for the prestigious event’s 20th anniversary year.
There has also been a surge in bookings for the black-tie bash being held at the O2 Academy Edinburgh on 23 February.
Colin Smith, SWA chief executive, said: “There’s a reason that Achievers is stronger than ever after 20 years – and that is its relevance to wholesalers the length and breadth of Scotland and its ability to evolve to meet the needs of the Scottish wholesale industry.
“We’re rightly proud of Achievers and the impact it has had on the industry over the years, notwithstanding its role in highlighting best practice and innovation within the industry and also recognising the dedicated people who keep its wheels moving.”
It’s the first time the O2 Academy Edinburgh has hosted the Achievers Awards in a move that means even more people can attend the gala dinner and awards presentation.
Smith added: “We look forward to welcoming our shortlisted wholesalers, sponsors and other industry figures to Achievers later this month.”
New for 2023 is a Best Local Supplier category to reflect the SWA’s ongoing ‘Delivering Growth Through Wholesale’ programme that aims to forge stronger relationships between wholesalers and local food and drink producers, helping to spark new business opportunities.
