RaceTrack moves into high gear with Co-op Wholesale

GLASGOW retail chain RaceTrack Pitstop has announced a new partnership with Co-op Wholesale as four of its stores will open under the new deal.
The new partnership between the two represents a five year deal and will, initially, cover four stores across Glasgow. Under this new partnership, RaceTrack will benefit from the expansive range of Co-op branded products including beers, wines & spirits; food to go; snacks and treats; and food for tonight including the Co-op Irresistible Pizza range.
The first of the four stores under the Co-op partnership will officially open in September.
RaceTrack has confirmed it will continue to trade under it own name and will introduce ‘Proud to Stock Co-op’ decals across the stores to highlight the new range.
Guna Sud, retail manager at RaceTrack Pitstop, said: “Partnering with Co-op Wholesale is the perfect next step in our journey as we expand our store portfolio. Our new and we hope long-lasting partnership allows us to further enhance our retail offering, giving us an even greater point of difference in the market and delivering more value for our customers, every day.”
Ian King, business development and growth director at Co-op Wholesale, said: “We’re delighted to be working with such a well-respected operator in RaceTrack Pitstop. It’s highly thought of by both industry peers and shopper alike, thanks to its clear focus on value, quality and customer experience.
“This partnership reflects the strength of our wholesale offering and our continued commitment to supporting ambitious independent retailers with the value, service and scale they need to grow and serve their customers’ needs.”
