Building sharing sales opportunities with KitKat

CHOCOLATE bar brand KitKat has expanded further on its sharing bar range with the addition of two new flavours in Milk Chocolate and Brownie.
Following on from what parent firm Nestlé called the successful launch of the sharing bar range last year, the new variants are set to expand on the range further and deliver a more indulgent options to consumers across the KitKat brand.
The KitKat Milk Chocolate variant has been dubbed by Nestlé as a “classic firm-favourite” option for fans of KitKat and pairs the brand’s signature crispy wafer with a cocoa-flavoured filling and milk chocolate to deliver a creamy taste and rich filling.
Meanwhile, the KitKat Brownie bar has been inspired by the rich, chocolatey brownie dessert than is already a strong favourite with consumers across the UK. Each bar combines the brand’s crispy wafer with milk and dark chocolate with a smooth brownie flavoured filling for an extra layer of indulgence.
The two new additions brings the total number of KitKat sharing bars up to six and follows on from the range’s recent addition of the Cookie Dough sharing bar whilst the initial Hazelnut, Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate tiro hit shelves last year.
Each sharing bar features multiple break-off pieces ensuring sharing is easy between consumers. Additionally, the bars are 99g and contain now artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are suitable for vegetarians.
Stephanie Scales, marketing manager for KitKat at Nestlé UK & Ireland, said: “We know a KitKat break is often about those small, everyday moments, whether you’re sharing with friends or taking five minutes to yourself.
“After winning over fans with our sharing bars, we wanted to bring even more flavour and choice into those moments, from the elevated Milk Chocolate to something rich and tasty like Brownie, there’s a bar to suit whatever you’re in the mood for.”
