Barratt teams up with Universal on new Minions movie

Minions-inspired sweets range hits the shelves

British confectionery firm Valeo Foods UK has unveiled a new collaboration with the Minions film franchise across its Barratt Sweet Shop and Poppets! brands.

BRITISH confectionery brand Barratt Sweet Shop has unveiled its new partnership with Universal Products & Experiences to roll out a bananas collaboration with Minions & Monsters.

Taking direct inspiration from the movie franchise, the new SKUs will introduce two pieces of NPD to the Barratt Sweet Shop range with the Sweet Bananaaaaa gummies and Fizzy Bananaaaaa gummies. Each pack feature banana shaped and flavoured gummy sweets in a light sugar coating and has been inspired by the Minions’ favoured fruit.

Following on this innovation, parent firm Valeo Foods UK has also introduced new packs for its Poppets! range with a mischievous Minions twist. The core Poppets! range will feature a limited-edition Minions-themed packaging with new artwork that features the iconic characters on-packs.

The updated packs can be found across the Milk Chocolate Coated Chewy Toffee variant as well as the Dark Chocolate Coated Mint Creams in both the 130g sharing pouch and individual 40g carton.

Valeo said the refresh will help to blend together indulgence with cheeky characters and encourage impulse sales across the sweets aisle throughout the summer months by tapping into the franchise’s latest film.

The new Barratt Sweet Shop Sweet Bananaaaaa gummies and Fizzy Bananaaaaa gummies both come in a 120g pack with an RRP of £1 per pack.
