Limited-edition Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads joins range

SNACKS and confectionery giant Mondelēz International has revealed details of its Halloween 2026 goodies – including a limited-edition Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads NPD.
The Halloween range brings together chocolate and sugar confectionery, as well as cookie treats, with each category designed to help retailers make the most of the seasonal sales opportunity across guising, sharing, parties and at-home snacking, says Mondelēz.
The special-edition Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads seasonal innovation features “Big Kids” jelly pieces in spooky monster-head shapes, with dual-flavour, dual-colour combinations across Watermelon, Raspberry and Orange. The 105g bag comes with an RRP of £1.25.
Meanwhile, Sour Patch Kids Watermelon & Strawberry Treatsize, with a £3 RRP 350g format, is returning for 2026 following a strong launch last year, delivering £1.3million RSV and becoming the No.1 NPD for Halloween, according to NIQ data.
Maynards Bassetts will also bring seasonal fun to the fixture with a playful Halloween-themed return, with Spooky Gums returning as an additional 110g £1 RRP SKU within the Wine Gums range.
On the chocolate front, Cadbury Treatsize Sharing Selection 223g is also returning. The £4.75 RRP pack contains Cadbury Buttons, Cadbury Crunchie, Cadbury Twirl, Cadbury Fudge and Cadbury Freddo, offering a dozen individually wrapped treats.
There’s also the return Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo & Friends sharing pack, again with a dozen units in the £4.75 RRP 191g bag, as well as a Cadbury Fudge treatsize pack with 15 bars inside the 202g £4.75 RRP format.
Cookie brand Oreo is also joining the Halloween fun with the return of Oreo Spooky, which features Halloween-inspired cookie embossing and orange-coloured creme. The cookies are available in a 154g pack with an RRP of £1.50.
Mondelēz has cited NIQ statistics that show the confectionery market was worth more than £65.1million during the six-week Halloween period last year.
Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Mondelēz International, said: “Halloween is a pivotal sales opportunity for the confectionery market, and consumers are looking for trusted brands in formats that are fun and easy to share, while embracing the spooky season.
“Our 2026 range brings together Cadbury treatsize favourites, the return of Oreo Spooky, playful Maynards Bassetts packs and the new Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads, giving retailers a strong mix of trusted favourites and seasonal innovation to boost their Halloween sales.”
