Weetabix supports communities with donations across the UK

BREAKFAST cereal firm Weetabix Food Company has reached a major milestone in its food donations through food redistribution charity Felix, formerly known as FareShare.
Weetabix has helped to serve up 25million breakfasts across the UK by working alongside Felix since 2014 to ensure that surplus, good-quality food makes its way to people who need it most and not into a landfill.
The partnership has worked to support more than 8,000 UK charities and community groups across the UK over the 12 year period and has helped to ensure more people have access to a nutritious start of the day through Weetabix.
Additionally, Weetabix has been a massive supporter of Felix’s annual Fueling Fuller Lives summer campaign, which helps families in poverty during the school holidays to ensure no child starts the day hungry during a time when food and childcare costs typically rise.
Each year, Weetabix has also donated a wide range of its cereals to schools, food banks, community hubs and local charities to help more communities across the UK start the day with a nutritious breakfast.
In 2025, Weetabix provided the equivalent of 2.1million breakfasts through Felix, reaching almost 3,000 charities and community groups across the UK.
And to help further cut down on good food from going to waste, Weetabix also introduced a best-before extension across its products, helping to further reduce food waste and increase the amount of surplus food available for redistribution.
Francesca Theokli, marketing and NPD director at Weetabix Food Company, said: “At Weetabix, our mission is to ‘ready the nation with nutritious goodness, made the right way’. Reaching 25 million breakfasts is a proud milestone for us but what matters most is the difference this makes to communities across the UK. We’re hugely grateful to Felix and our Weetabix colleagues who volunteer their time to help ensure food reaches those who need it most.”
Nicole Sanchez-Castillo, head of food partnerships at Felix, said: “We are enormously grateful to the team at Weetabix for their continued support for Felix. We are delighted that with their support we have been able to deliver the equivalent of over 25 million breakfast servings.”
