HERITAGE shortbread brand Walker’s Shortbread has unveiled its new sharing range with the introduction of the new Wee Chunkies tubs.

Marking a new step for the brand, Walker’s Shortbread Wee Chunkies aims to deliver a genuine piece of innovation for the market that is designed to meet the growing demand for more premium, shareable treats.

Available in two flavour varieties – Triple Chocolate and Chocolate & Caramel – the new Wee Chunkies feature bite-size pieces of Walker’s all-butter shortbread to help encourage the sharing nature of product.

The Triple Chocolate variant comes with a blend of creamy milk and dark chocolate in the shortbread bite with pieces of chocolate throughout. Meanwhile, the Chocolate & Caramel packs in pockets of gooey caramel and chocolate pieces into each bite.

Additionally, the range has been designed so they can be gently reheated at home offering consumers the chance to enjoy the taste of freshly baked shortbread with ease as if they have just been taken out of the oven.

Walker’s Shortbread Wee Chunkies are available across Waitrose stores now and will roll out across Sainsbury’s location from 24 May with an RRP of £2.50 per tub.

Bryony Walker, commercial director at Walker’s Shortbread, said: “For Wee Chunkies, we’ve used our 128-year-old family recipe as the base for this perfect bite size treat, with generous indulgent additions like caramel and chocolate.

“Arriving just in time for summer, the resealable tub makes them perfect for sharing – whether at social occasions with friends like picnics, watching sports, or simply relaxing at home in the evening. And for an extra touch of indulgence, we highly recommend warming them up first.”
