THE Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has announced a change in venue for its Connex Conference.

The firm’s annual conference will now take place in the Ã’ran Mór in Glasgow’s west end after the announcement that the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow will not reopen in time for the event. The hotel was forced to close due to the recent fire which took place on Union Street in Glasgow.

The SWA has confirmed that the conference will continue as planned on 28 May with the conference programme remaining the same, with all speakers confirmed and content retained as planned.

However, the event will now take place from 9am to 5pm and will be followed by a networking drinks and canapes reception, rather than the sit-down dinner that was formerly planned. The SWA said this will allow the event to proceed as planned and help attendees to reduce the amount of time they spend out of their own businesses.

Tickets for the event are still available as well, for all those interested they can book their place at the event here.
