LU delves into French heritage with new flavour

PREMIUM French biscuit brand LU has expanded on its portfolio in the UK with the introduction of the new Le Petit Chocolat Noir.
Aiming to offer shoppers more indulgence across the biscuits category, the new launch builds on the success of the Le Petit biscuit range with the introduction of a new dark chocolate variant.
Each LU Le Petit Chocolat Noir 100g pack comes with an RRP of £2.25 and will be available on shelves from May.
Since the brand launched in the UK in 2021, LU has grown to be worth over £20million, according to Nielsen research, and has helped to support repeat purchase across the premium biscuits category.
Parent firm Mondelēz International has put this success down to the strong French credentials of the brand, premium position and ability to deliver indulgent moments that resonate strongly with consumers.
Georgia Hartley, brand manager at LU at MondelÄ“z International, said: “LU Le Petit Chocolat Noir is a natural next step for the brand. Dark chocolate is synonymous with premium indulgence, and this launch allows us to build on the success of our No.1 product.
“We know our shoppers are looking for moments of indulgence and self-treating, and this new variant delivers a beautifully refined biscuit experience that stays true to LU’s French heritage.”
