Vault City rolls out Last Christmas Wham sour

Sour beer inspired by a duo of 80s favourites

Edinburgh-based sour beer brewery Vault City has rolled out a festive brew inspired by a duo of 80s favourites with its Last Christmas sour beer.

EDINBURGH brewer Vault City is set to help consumers to give the gift of beer to someone special this year with its new Last Christmas Sour Beer.

Inspired by a duo of iconic 80s favourites with Wham sour confectionery bars and pop band Wham!, the new Last Christmas sour beer brew has infused the flavour of Wham chew bars into the beer.

The brewery boiled 500 Wham chew bars to create this special Christmas beer before pouring the mixture into a dosing unit to infuse the beer with a zingy citrus flavour and bright pink colour.

Each 440ml can features a festive design on pack, with a Christmas tree label to help consumers get more into the holiday spirit.

The 4.1% ABV retro-inspired beer comes priced at £4.50 and is available for purchase from the Vault City online store.

Steven Smith-Hay, co-founder of Vault City, said: “This infusion method intensifies the sweetness and flavours. Each sip feels incredibly nostalgic.

“The notes of sharp raspberry and a fizzy tang taste just like the sour chew bar that I loved growing up.

“Our love of sour beer is almost a match for our love of 80s music, especially a Christmas classic so this felt like the perfect pairing.”
