THE Fed is heading to Scotland to alert independent retailers to the benefits of membership.

The organisation says the networking event at Hampden Park in Glasgow, on 30 November, will also showcase new product opportunities and ways of improving sales and profits.

Key suppliers including Booker, incoming National Lottery operator Allwyn, Barclaycard, PayPoint and Menzies Distribution are supporting the Fed’s Retail Roadshow.

A host of other companies covering the vaping and coffee-to-go categories will also be at the free get-together, running from 10.30am to 2pm.

The Fed’s president in Scotland, Hussan Lal, pictured, said: “We are operating in very competitive times and in a difficult economic climate.

“Independent retailers need to make sure they are doing everything they can to develop custom.

“Our roadshow has one purpose and that is to help you rise to the challenge, with ideas, information and advice to help support your sales and profits.

“We would love to see you there on the day and ask your friends and colleagues in the trade along, too, as this event is to put money in your tills.”
