PERSONAL cash withdrawals from the Post Office have hit another monthly record – totalling £836 million last November.

That’s £31m more than the previous record set in August 2022. Personal withdrawals were up 7.6% month on month and 12.5% year on year in November.

The increase came as the Post Office renewed its partnership with the Trussell Trust. The PO is donating 1p from every cash withdrawal, with the hope of raising £330,000 for the charity over the winter.

PO banking boss Martin Kearsley said: “Postmasters are playing a vital role in helping people, particularly those on low incomes, navigate this winter.”
