SPAR Scotland wholesaler CJ Lang has rolled out Too Good to Go across its entire company-owned estate.
CJ Lang first entered a partnership with the surplus food app in December 2020, but has now extended the service to its company-owned estate of more than 100 stores.
The wider partnership follows a limited trial that CJ Lang said had already helped the Dundee-based wholesaler to reduce waste.
CJ Lang reported it has saved over 7,200 meals from going to waste and saved over 17 tonnes of carbon emissions so far through its initial trial of Too Good To Go.
The trial also featured on Channel 4’s ‘Food Unwrapped’ which aired on 2 May.
