The stores are the latest to benefit from CJ Lang’s company store investment.

TWO company-owned Spar Scotland stores have been relaunched following major refurbishments.

CJ Lang has overhauled Spar Balmacara in Ross-shire and Spar Spean Bridge. Both stores have been completely refitted, with the addition of new services which CJ Lang said “give customers a much better offer,”

The stores benefit from an expanded food-to-go range, including Calippo Slush, F’real milkshakes, smoothies and new bakery counters.

CJ Lang has also invested in new flooring, signage, digital screens and graphics which depict the stores’ histories within their local communities.

CJ Lang said it also focused on the environment during the refurbishments, making use of new energy efficient lighting, refrigeration units and freezers.

The refurbishment is part of the Dundee-based wholesaler’s ongoing investment programme in its company-owned store estate.

Brian Straiton, operations director at CJ Lang & Son Ltd, said: “Spar Balmacara and Spar Spean Bridge are positioned in the heart of their localities, and we are sure local residents and visitors to the scenic areas around the stores will enjoy the benefits of our investment.

“These are the latest Spar stores to benefit from the major investment programme we’ve commenced and we’re looking forward to showcasing more refurbished stores in the months to come.”
