GLENROTHES based coffee roastery Modern Standard has secured a trial listing in 64 Tesco stores, including six in Scotland.
Five of Modern Standard’s coffees are included in the trial, which is set to run until June. The coffees included are: Momentum Espresso, Colombia Aromas del Sur, Ethiopia Konga Cooperative, Guatemala Finca San Antonio and Brazil Santa Lucia.
Scottish stores taking part in the trial are Edinburgh Colinton, Edinburgh Superstore, Inverurie, Inverness, Westhill and Milngavie.
Established in 2015 by qualified World Barista Championship judge Lynsey Harley, Modern Standard is one of the few coffee businesses to be founded and run by a woman in the UK.
Harley said: “I’m delighted to have been recognised by Tesco and to have our award-winning coffee on the shelves for this trial.
