General Mills’ Nature Valley Full Mix breakfast bars aim to recruit new customers to the category.

FOLLOWING a successful launch in the US, Nature Valley has brought its ‘Full Mix’ bars to the UK.

Available in Peanut Butter & Blueberry and Peanut Butter & Cranberry flavours, the new Nature Valley breakfast bars have been launched to offer consumers a convenient way to start the day.

Full Mix breakfast bars contain different berries, seeds and oats creating a bar that is high in fibre and a good source of protein.

Support for the launch comes in the shape of a £1.5 million marketing campaign across TV and video-on-demand channels.

Brand owner General Mills was bullish about Full Mix’s potential to bring new shoppers into the breakfast bar category, with the firm highlighting Nielsen figures predicting that sales will be “34% incremental to the category.”

Roisin Witort, marketing manager for snacking at General Mills, said: “Here at Nature Valley, we’re all about identifying and satisfying unmet consumer needs and we really believe this innovation will hit the nail on the head with consumers looking for a truly indulgent, yet wholesome snack with a full variety of tastes and textures in one bar.”

Nature Valley Full Mix bars are currently available in Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Co-op stores in multipacks retailing at £2.89 RRP with a promotional price of £1.50.
