Big moves for Border

New Border Biscuits team
The new appointments are indicative of Border’s direction

BORDER Biscuits has been on a recruitment drive, as the Lanark-based firm eyes further growth.

Five new senior appointments have been made at the firm, including sales director Mark Chance – who brings experience from Cadbury, Tyrrells and Purity Brewing; operations director Kevin Smithson, formerly of C&C Group; and a newly appointed Master Biscuitier, Linda Brown.

Border Biscuits has also appointed Lisa Mullen to the role of technical manager, and Simon Stoten – formerly of Greene King and Tesco – has been installed as finance director.

Paul Parkins, managing director at Border Biscuits, said making the new appointments “is absolutely indicative of Border Biscuits direction of travel.”

“As a business, we have ambitious targets for growth which are supported by significant investment. We’re pleased to have further strengthened our senior team as we lay the solid foundations to build that growth,” he said.
