Salt and vinegar variant lands on shelf

BURTS Snacks has bolstered its healthy snack range with the launch of a new Lentil Waves variant.

Salt & Vinegar Lentil Waves is the latest flavour in the portfolio, joining existing flavours Lightly Salted, Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream & Chive.

As well as boasting a lower calorie count than traditional crisps, the Lentil Waves range  also boasts gluten-free certification from health charity Coeliac UK.

Burts Lentil Waves are available in single packs at RRP £0.99 as well as in 5x20g multipacks priced at £1.80 RRP.

“Currently worth £218m and with growth at 8.6%, the ‘better for you’ snacking market is an important category for us.

“Releasing another flavour as part of our healthy alternative offering is key to driving sales and market share within the category.”

The launch of Salt & Vinegar Lentil Waves follows a packaging overhaul for the brand which rolled out in January.
