Co-op grows vegan range

STORES that purchase Co-op own-brand SKUs can now bolster their range with more than 30 new vegan products.

The Co-op unveiled its new Gro range of meat-free products last month, aiming to appeal to those starting the year off with a vegan diet.

The 35-strong range of Gro products, which includes snacks, mains and desserts, is claimed to be the largest ever product rollout of own-brand vegan products by a supermarket.

The portfolio of Gro products is designed to appeal to time-pressed convenience shoppers looking for food in a hurry.

Co-op chief executive Jo Whitfield said the new vegan range “taps into the latest consumer trends.”
