Looking fresh: Hancocks’ Glasgow depot has been given a full refurbishment

CONFECTIONERY specialist wholesaler Hancocks has a new look.

Hancocks’ Glasgow depot has been overhauled, with new fixtures and fittings throughout.

The new look depot has improved shelving, a new floor, LED lighting and digital screens at the ends of aisles to keep retailers informed of the latest deals and promotions.

Work at the Glasgow depot forms part of a modernisation programme for Hancocks. The Glasgow depot is the third of eight sites across the UK scheduled to receive the ‘superstore’ treatment.

As part of the upgrade, Hancocks Superstore Glasgow also now stocks an expanded range of the wholesaler’s own-brand products.

Across all categories, the Glasgow depot now houses around 4,000 SKUs, mostly confectionery, and cash and carry director Andy Cutts told Scottish Grocer he is confident that no one can match the site for choice in confectionery.

“No one has that same range,” he said.

“We see ourselves mirroring retail more and more. Our whole ethos is to support the independent grocer,” he said.
