SPECIALIST wine retailer Majestic will disappear from British high streets, as the firm is set to rebrand as Naked Wines.
Majestic acquired online wine retailer Naked for £70m in 2015, and has now brought its entire business under the Naked brand to help deal with changes to the market.
The firm will also close some of its 200 stores as part of its new ‘transformation plan’, with details of which stores will shut to be released in June.
Rowan Gormley, group chief executive, said: “Where we have no choice but to close stores we will aim to minimise job losses by migration into Naked.”
