MOTOR Fuel Group is on a recruitment drive in Scotland, having successfully completed the purchase of MRH to form the largest independent multiple forecourt operator in the UK.
MFG’s estate now comprises more than 900 forecourts. The group is inviting retailers to take on a site as a self-employed ‘Contract Manager’ who will sell their own shop stock and employ their own staff.
The recruitment drive follows MFG’s latest deal with Booker which will see over one hundred of its sites rebranded to Londis or Budgens fascias.
MFG retail director Paul Dennis commented on the Booker deal: “After nearly three years of successful Booker shop supply, we are delighted to be continuing our relationship to cover our enlarged network.
“We believe Booker’s promotional programme and Spend & Save rewards have already added significant benefits to over 800 of our forecourt retailers.
“We are confident that moving to Londis and Budgens will help to drive footfall through our stores and enhance the customer shopping experience.”
Steve Fox, managing director of Booker Group – Retail, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with MFG.
“It is a privilege to serve them and this extension to our existing agreement is a fantastic opportunity for Booker Retail Partners to build on our already successful partnership.”
