Popping corks for Christmas

IT wouldn’t be a celebration without some bubbles and wine brand Echo Falls is now in shape to capitalise on the party season thanks to the recent launch of its new Prosecco brand.

Launched in late October, the 11% ABV ProsEcho Falls is a sparkling extension to the popular Echo Falls brand and is available in both 75cl and 30cl formats.

Parent firm Accolade Wines reckons that while prosecco continues to perform well in the off trade, there is still plenty of room for growth and it hopes the brand recognition of Echo Falls will help to drive the category further.

Laurence Hinton, brand manager for Echo Falls said: “Echo Falls over-indexes with wine newbies and our research shows that a recognised brand is important to this group’s purchasing decisions.

“As the largest top 10 brand to launch a prosecco, we are confident that our entry into this category will help to drive growth and a larger profit opportunity.

“Prosecco has been successful at attracting new shoppers to the category but with prosecco penetration at only 32.8% of the population, there’s still plenty of room for growth.”

Accolade Wines’ ProsEcho Falls 75cl is priced at an RRP of £10.
