Strawberry tarts were the treats of the season when Scotmid supported Scotland’s Young Farmers at the recent Royal Highland Show.
This year almost £4000 was raised for Alzheimer’s with donations being made by the public for freshly made strawberry tarts using Scottish strawberries, locally produced tart cases, Scottish cream and strawberry jelly.
The Scotmid community team also organised face painting and educational games for youngsters and provided ponchos for those caught in the seasonal Scottish summer showers.
