NESTLE is putting its latest price deal on the wrappers of 10 of its best-selling products.
The ‘Any 2 for £1’ flash will appear on KitKat four-finger, Aero Peppermint Medium, Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles as well as Smarties packs and several other lines from this month.
A Nestlé UK and Ireland spokesperson said: “When asked what would encourage them to purchase a product 70% of singles confectionery shoppers preferred a ‘2 for £1’ multibuy compared to 50% who preferred a discounted price.
“In addition, when retailers were asked what they thought their shoppers would find most appealing when printed on the front of the wrapper 41% said a multibuy compared to 28% who said a discounted price.”
The spokesperson said 60% of singles confectionery is consumed with more than one person present, so multibuy would encourage additional purchase for sharing.
