NEW packaging which has brought its traditional range into line with the designs for its pots and sachets has been well-received by consumers says Hamlyns.
John Kerr of the JFK Partnership, which handles Hamlyns sales, said: “Sales over the autumn and early winter months were ahead of the same period last year.
“With their traditional Scottish Oatmeal well-established as market leader in Scotland, and their new instant porridge pots and sachets really gaining a foothold in the instant cereals market, Hamlyns of Scotland is enjoying a buoyant winter.”
Increased marketing spending has included Hamlyns supplying samples at food, family and sports events and becoming sponsor of the Healthy Eating category in the Scottish Slimmers awards.
