Growing the meat snack market

Adult snackers are being targeted by the latest range from Mattessons.
Saying that almost a quarter of UK households buy meat snacks and valuing the category at £192m, Mattessons has launched Savagers specifically for grown-ups.

Hayley Murgett, senior brand manager at Mattessons, said: “We know that adult snacking is worth five times that of kids snacking.
“This new range will drive incremental sales by broadening appeal amongst adults aged 22 to 32 who currently under-index against the category.”
The range is available in Classic Chorizo and Smoked salami varieties, both in multipacks and as singles
