THE partnership between Spar in Scotland and Subway is being extended with the sandwich chain planning to add to the 10 restaurants it already operates in Spar stores.
A spokesperson for Spar Scotland said: “We are constantly looking for innovative solutions to develop our stores and meet the needs of our ever-evolving customer base.
“Our new partnership with Subway allows two strong brands to work together for mutual benefit.”
Subway has 1,900 stores in the UK with 400 of them in non-high-street locations such as convenience stores, forecourts, visitor attractions and motorway service stations.
Among the Spar Scotland sites where it operates are stores on Carnoustie High Street, in Erskine and in the Glamis Centre in Glenrothes.
