BREAKFAST consumers make a conscious effort to include one of their five a day, according to Refresco Gerber.
The fruit juice giant, which owns the Del Monte and Just Juice brands, says that mornings are a great opportunity to present consumers with on-the-go juices that add a healthy component to their breakfasts.
They can be added to meal deals with other grab-and-go items.
The company says that orange remains the dominant juice and juice drink flavour, accounting for 33.5% of sales in value, followed by apple 10.5% and apple blends 8.4%.
Del Monte has added a one-litre orange flavour in a resealable carton to its low-sugar, low-calorie Naturally Light range, targeted at the breakfast market.
For economy shoppers, its single serve price-marked Just Juice is exclusive to c-stores.
