MONDELEZ International’s latest sharing treat, Cadbury Eclairs Velvets, is hitting the TV and cinema screens.
The brand extension, launched in March to offer consumers a softer version of the firm’s established chocolate eclair, will be supported by a £2m marketing spend that includes sampling and in-store activity.
Kaitlin Williams, candy brand manager at Mondelez International, said: “We’ve already seen some great success with Cadbury Eclairs Velvets, with value rate of sale already matching our Cadbury Eclairs Classic according to Nielsen ScanTrack. The product is helping to attract new consumers.
“Our new TV ad and supporting campaign aims to educate consumers on the new soft eclair, and we would encourage retailers to stock up in anticipation of increased awareness throughout the campaign,” she said.
Cadbury Eclairs Velvets are available in 151g packs, RRP £1.99.
