Soup for springtime

29d_0513SALMON and new potatoes, a traditional menu for a spring wedding, forms the basis for New Covent Garden Soup Co’s one-off flavour for May. It’s made with flakes of hot smoked salmon, new potatoes, lemon, parsley, dill and tarragon.
“Our cooks are well known for bringing out the very best flavours from seasonal ingredients,” said Rob Dixon, marketing controller for owners Hain Daniels Group. “In this soup, for example, new potatoes are diced with the skins on to maintain that unique earthy flavour.
“After a long and dreary winter, consumers are ready for spring. Our latest soup of the month delivers fresh, light flavours which will make consumers think of sunny days and picnics – whatever the weather.”
