Scottish Grocer is rolling out the red carpet this year as its launches a first for the magazine with our new Scottish Grocer Goes to the Movies event. Offering an exclusive night for convenience retailers and their staff members, this event provides a chance to relax together and enjoy a truly unique event in the Scottish convenience retail calendar as we take a trip to the pictures with some exclusive movie showings.

Attendees can also expect plenty of networking opportunities with sponsors on the evening, including some major players in the snacks and drinks spaces, and pick up a goodie bag of treats to enjoy during the event or to take home with you.

Our first Scottish Grocer Goes to the Movies event is free to attend and will include a showing of the iconic film Sholay, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Retired police officer Thakur Baldev Singh enlists the help of two convicts, Jai and Veeru, to hunt down the notorious bandit Gabbar Singh after he murders Thakur’s family leading to a high stakes chase. The film will be shown in its native language of Hindi with English subtitles.
